The Allerair 5000 Exec UV features a 10-watt Ultraviolet (UV) lamp to sterilize airborne antigens and pathogens, and the HEPA and activated carbon filtration system featured in the basic Exec model.
Successfully used wherever mold or bacteria may be present, such as in hospitals, daycares, food preparation areas. Effective for up to 1500 square feet.

| Why use an Allerair UV air purifier ? |
UV light sterilizes indoor air. It eliminates transmittable agents like viruses and bacteria. It is often used in hospitals and daycare centers, where the risk of contagion is high. High-tech laboratories, clinics and isolation wards have all benefited from UV sterilization.
The UV light’s germicidal properties adapt themselves to many different targets. UV light alters the DNA structure of microscopic organisms, rendering them unable to reproduce.
AllerAir units use safe, shortwave germicidal UV-C light, different from the UV-B light which comes from the sun. Germicidal UV-B light is also much safer than ozone, which is used by other air purifier manufacturers. Health officials warn that inhaling ozone, the principal element in smog, can be extremely harmful. |
